"The Decisive Event of Jesus Christ"

Today marks for the first Sunday of Lent during our 40-day walk toward cross and resurrection. Just as we were marked by ashes Wednesday, we are all asked to find a way to mark these days, to observe a holy Lent so that we are ready to truly stand in the resurrection light and rejoice. During worship, we continue to make our way through the Bible. For the season of Lent, we will turn our attention to the Letters of the New Testament. Today's message comes from 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 and Philippians 3:4-11.
